AMERICAN GIRL DOLL TEA PARTY

Well, here's my decorations for my first party at Kook Kids Couture. It's this Sunday and I've been setting up for it all day yesterday and a little today. It's missing the tea cups (they are being set up tomorrow), but this is the most complete the room will be that I will see!

Each girl gets a matching hat for her doll and each doll gets their own tea cup set.

Felt cupcakes I made for the doll. They get to take home a felt tea bag and felt flower hair clip.

I just realized the "T" has slipped in "TEA", I hope someone fixes that!
It's been a busy month planning for this, mostly because I made so much stuff. I hope it goes well for them on Sunday!

A MORNING TO OURSELVES

Now that Aubrey is in school, every Monday we have time by ourselves until 2:15! Today we drove to San Francisco. We stopped at highly recommended bakery, took our treats to a nearby park with a lovely view and then found a little hill to climb for a better view. I wish I had my camera with me! Then we got some dumplings for lunch and headed back to pick Aubrey up. It was short but fun to explore!

The view from the top of the hill, just the top of the Golden Gate Bridge sticking up through the clouds.

Bread pudding and some cheesy bun thing.

CARNIVAL DAY

It was Carnival Day at the hotel last Saturday for a fundraiser. Jared called me that morning to let me know it was going and so we went! I'm glad we went because with Jared working, we were looking for something to do on this 90 degree day!

Outside they had 3 bouncy houses, all the carnival food you could eat, ice cream treats, cotton candy and snow cones. There were carnival games as well as entertainment inside like clowns, magicians and a band! There weren't a lot of people there so it was pleasant!

Then we had to wait a bit for Jared to get off work, so we found some shade:

Walked across the street to the fountains:

And then I saw that there was a photography exhibit next door at the art museum, Aubrey was free and it was the last day, so we went!
She even found some coloring to do.

It was a pretty fun day for not planning anything!
