from the garden

I finally cut some flowers from our garden. The Gladiolus were falling over, so I cut a few along with some baby's breath. I also cut a couple of crocosmia and a some of our yellow daisy-like flower (still don't know what it's called). It's nice to have flowers inside the house as well as outside.

It's been a busy couple of weeks!

Sorry, no photos in this entry...I'm all photo'd out!
I've finished editing 2 of my last 3 weddings, and 4 out 8 family/baby shoots from the last week and I'm tired!
August brings some relaxation though as we are going camping at Hornby Island and Long Beach then off to Castlegar to visit Jared's brother Curtis and his family...yay, a break!

At least the major yardwork is done and now it's just upkeep - we'll see how that goes.
The Gladiolus are just starting to bloom and I'm still waiting for the rest of the plants to bloom! (Crocosmias and Cana Lilies). I keep finding new plants in my garden beds that were dormant in the fall when we moved. A few of the flowers that have bloom so far are peonies, fuchsias and baby's breath! It's pretty exciting to see what pops up and where!
Our plan for next year is to get our vegetable garden made and planted, we just didn't have enough time or money this year to do it, but it sure would be nice!

It's a Girl!

My doctor thought I was almost 20 weeks, and after today's ultrasound it indicated that I could possibly be only 17 weeks! Which pushes my due date to December 18th!
I will go back for another ultrasound in a couple of weeks to see for sure, double-check measurements and compare and hopefully get a better view and detail of the baby's face as it was head down the whole time...we will see.

The first image is the profile of the face, the second is the skeleton of the face (quite scary looking) and the last a profile of the body with one arm up and which looks like she's making a hang loose sign - that's what we like to think.
