The impossible task of brushing a 1 year olds teeth!

I'm not really sure how it's suppose to be done - brushing and flossing 10 little teeth in a mouth that likes to bite anything that enters it, including fingers and toothbrush bristles. Flossing? Forget about it, how is that possible? If you have any tips on this please let me know!
So far Aubrey has all 8 center teeth and 2 top and bottom matching molars with a nothing molar about to cut through any day. By the way things are going I think she will have all her teeth by 18 months instead of 3 years!

We let our son 'brush' his teeth first then we do a real brushing afterwards. Trying singing or saying rhymes while brushing them- it will keep them still for a minute or two.

You can buy floss thats attached to a handle kind of thingy (they're called Flossers) and they sell children's size ones. It's supposed to make flossing easier... my son only holds still for the hygenist though....

My two year old still won't sit through getting her teeth brushed! If you come up with something that works please pass it on! We let Emily brush her teeth and then we follow it up. Actually we ended up getting a battery powered toothbrush to make sure she got a good brushing since sometimes you can't brush for long.
